WEEK 06 - FEBRUARY 2 TO FEBRUARY 8, 2014

This week we began a new series of teachings on Sundays called [ANOINTED]. Listen to it on our mylifepointe.com/media page and then join us every day praying these truths.

Pray these when you do your devotional quiet times, when you sit with the family to pray over meals or even when you are driving down the road. The multiple rehearsing of these prayers from your heart to God's will bring you transformation and revelation.

Also, be sure to have the kids memorize the Scripture Memorizations at the bottom left corner.

The Bible Teaching Audio/Video is a profound renewal of our thinking about generosity, tithing and giving. Be sure to lock and load on that. This week's quick links are at:

  1. Perfect timing for this devo ... my ladies Bible study/prayer group laid hands and prayed over me for my 30th birthday this past week. Powerful! I want to pass that on to younger people (well, anyone) - to stir the gifts God placed in us, by the power of the Holy Spirit, through the laying on of hands...especially on birthdays! God is the best gift giver! :)

A few areas that stood out to me:
    * Paul and Barnabas went back to Antioch (starting place) "where they had been COMMITTED TO THE GRACE OF GOD FOR THE WORK they now completed" to share what God had done through them.
    * The normalcy of prayer and fasting ..and worshiping
    * How some Jews stirred up the Gentiles and "poisoned their minds" against Paul and Barnabas. (Today = be aware/on guard of how other's 'goofy' thoughts can stink up your mind/what you see ... we are the gatekeepers of our minds.)
    * "Paul looked directly at him, SAW THAT HE HAD FAITH TO BE HEALED and called out, "Stand up on your feet!..." How do we see if someone has faith to be healed? Would others notice it in us?
    * Do not call anything impure that God has made clean
    * When he arrived and saw the EVIDENCE OF THE GRACE OF GOD, he was glad and encouraged them to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts..."

  2. Your comments are inspiring and encouraging. The ministry of the laying on of hands is a great way to usher in the new year after a birthday for sure. Acts is an action packed book, a template of what Christianity should look like. They were some bold, faith-filled people. Thanks for sharing thoughts on the thread. Have a great week!
